How to Write Funny Articles and Inject Some Personality

In many ways, you can add some personality with funny stories or comments into your articles that hopefully to get free traffics. I’m not talking about writing fluffs that will make your article a mess. I’m talking about the right and serious article that would surprise your reader and will give them a chuckle in the midst of all the serious stuff. What I mean is, add some humor on it. So, how do we start being funny but not making it over? First, you should remember your target audience. Keep in mind that not everything is going to be an instant hit. Article marketing is just so hard. Some people just don’t get it but believe me, it’s definitely worth it. This is the tremendous way to build a loyal followers and share a bit of your personality.



Here are some points you should remember;



1. Understand timing – even if you’re telling your joke or story in text, it’s important to use the element of surprise. You should start your sentence or your paragraph then add a funny word or phrase at the right timing, possibly at the last part. Another method will help you control your timing is to take your reader into the story and then rotate in a different manner which would create you the element of surprise, that one that you’re looking for. Remember it’s all about timing.



2. Be specific – being specific means describing your funny story and give details of what is happening. For instance, you are talking about a bum. You should give some details about how he looks like or what he is doing. Something that the reader will hook about your story and will make your subject funny in a good way. Give also details on the environment such as rooms or office scene, give specific details.



3. Use a Thesaurus – by using a different version of a particular work can sometimes make a line or the joke funnier than the original word. Often times when you find the right word, it will jump out the page and you know you’ve got a funny hook. Look for some words that describe in a great detail.



4. Sometimes you should be a subject in your jokes. By using this strategy, you’re not afraid to offend someone. You could poke and make fun of your looks, your parents, your wife or husband, your home or your jobs and many others.



5. Edit everything – read your article all over again and check on your funny storyline. If possible let your friend and anyone else to read it and see their reaction. If they will have a negative reaction, then edit it again. The last thing you wanted is for someone to hang up on a misspelled word which will basically trip them along the story and ruin the joke.



6. Another side on creating a funny story or comment to attract attention to a very common things but are seldom discussed. Things are slightly embarrassing when people realize that they are doing the same way. Read it to yourself and see it flows.



And above all, remember don’t force to write. Take a break. It’s a hard to be funny than writing a good content. Take a break even it takes a long one. The one who works hard and completing everything before deadline are the ones who made their work worst. When you finished your funny article, you probably ask. "Now, what’s next? How do I get people to see or read my article?" well, the next is get a traffic. Traffic needs to be targeted specifically.
