Still struggling to create your first article marketing campaign? Have you heard all about the surprising benefits of writing and linking articles? And yet you find yourself having a hard time to launch your first project? Or, like other people who are just getting started? Do you find yourself feel so burden at the details like keyword counts, categories, length, landing pages and all of the other online marketing terminologies that keeps so many people stuck and paralyzed in the same place forever? If you are on the same shoe when I was before, having the simplest strategy for getting started is really what you need and learn to ignore the smoke, noise and nonsense are critical to your success. With that in mind and after having personally written over 5,000 articles that have generated millions of readers, thousands of subscribers and much more affiliate sales and in more niches that you can count. This is what you should do when starting your new article marketing campaign.

1. Pick your product (not your niche) – the key here is, if you are promoting an affiliate product, do not get lots of the "niche nonsense" but instead, pick a profitable product that you know and convert it even before you write your first word. How would you know? Very simple. Look on your own shelf first. What do you buy? What does your neighbor buys? What do you see on T.V, radio and print ads? Start here and look for those products on the affiliate networks that have EPC metrics which earns per 100 visitors or more. These products that are selling well today just like the others and it will do the same for you too. Also be noted that if you are selling your own suite of products and services, like coaching or consulting, digital downloads and etc. you already have your products, so obviously skip this stage.

2. Forget about keywords that content converts answering questions and solving problems. There is no topic that hurts more people than the myth about keyword research. It is simply stated that it is not necessary to make money. You need to know the language of your marketplace, that’s the primary. But focusing on keyword counts and esoteric volume, the supply and demand metrics will definitely will not make you rich and will just waste more of your time, energy and income than any other activity. Problem solves. You will just create a valuable content that you would want to read and don’t waste a single of your time calculating keyword ratios that only the gurus care about. Mostly, they are recommending you to buy the tool that measures them.

3. Craft your landing page strategy – this is essential, to whether you are selling affiliate products or selling your own stuff. It is recommended that you should always use your landing page to create a community, or build your list. Do not send your readers to a blog page or to some ad that have a heavy landing page. Light is okay, being more narrow allows you to be more focus and specific when you make your landing page. The higher your ultimate conversion percentage will be. As a matter of fact, if you don’t create a list especially to newbie that are trying to sell an affiliate products will have a worse job of converting readers. It is recommended that you should work on the root level of redirecting rather than creating on a rich content article.

A successful article marketing campaign is usually created before the very first article written. If you follow the guidelines above, surely, you will have a huge start of this article marketing competition.
